About music at Scottsdale Presbyterian Church:
9:00 AM Family Friendly Contemporary Worship
Music at the 9 AM worship service is led by the dedicated youth and young adults of Scottsdale Presbyterian Church. The band rehearses at 7:45 AM on Sunday mornings. The Praise Band is made up of approximately 12 committed young musicians playing drums and guitars together with singers and signers, who faithfully provide music leadership at the early service year-round.
10:30 AM Traditional Worship
We acknowledge the faithful choir of hearts and voices that gathers to rehearse on Wednesday evenings at 7 PM during the months of September through early June. The choir prayerfully provides worship leadership at the l0:30 AM worship and other occasional services. Summer services offer opportunities for soloists and small ensembles.
* The music history of this almost 50-year old central city Scottsdale congregation includes significant music leadership from the Scottsdale community of musicians.* The music files reflect the eclectic and musically historic nature of the music program at SPC over the years.
* The recent restoration of the Moeller pipe organ and installation of chimes and a zymbelstern speaks of the on-going commitment to historic choral and organ literature that honors our Lord.
* Instrumentalists, soloists, small ensembles, handbells and drama occasionally enhance both services.*The day-care SPARK Kids Choir sings on special occasions.
* In addition to the pipe organ, a concert grand Bosendorfer piano in the sanctuary beautifully supports our praise and worship.
* New voices and instrumentalists are always welcome!
To God be the glory.
